First Print

Early in the New Year, I joined an Introduction to Printmaking class, and got thrown at the deep end immediately, learning hard and soft ground etching, aquatint and sugar lift. I thought it would be a good idea to try something new, but I had not anticipated that I’d fall in love with printmaking…

Those of you who follow me on Instagram @ellieyannas have probably seen some of my B&W images, but now I have started experimenting with colours.

deadly coordinates - Aleppo

Delighted to have received 2nd Prize of £1,500 for one of my three Syria Deadly Coordinates that were selected for Wales Contemporary 2022.
